St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend
Hi everybody, Callie here! I know we keep doing vacation posts but I'm going to break us free of that for a moment so we can tell you about our weekend. Back in July we signed up to fundraise and run a 5K for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. It was this weekend!
We did some research and St. Jude is almost entirely funded by donations, and 81% of everything that is donated goes into treatment and research. St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend is one of their biggest fundraising events through the year, and this year over 20,000 runners helped bring in over $8 million (so far).

Road Side Attractions
Hey guys, Wrennie here! I hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving. We ate SO MUCH! And guess what...it snowed! We spent the weekend playing in it, but all that cold made me think of all the awesome things we did this summer.
Oh blue skies! -Chloe
Smiling at me! - Penny
We found a whole bunch of old abandoned buildings.
My mom and aunt really liked how this one looked:
Don't worry we didn't get out or anything. It's just something we like to look at while we drive around!
We didn't want to have to dig ourselves out when it collapsed on us :P -Chloe
Though I wish we could have gotten closer to this one:
We did eventually find this old giant pump thing and took this picture on the stairs:
Also we looked around for road side attractions! Things like giant rubber band balls and this:
It's the largest lump of coal from this certain mine. Oklahoma was full of mines I guess! It stood at the old high school of this one town and there was supposed to be a museum but we never found it.
I guess there were a lot of ghost towns in Oklahoma because they were mining towns that got abandoned when the mines ran out (or exploded like this one) - Penny
I did get a picture of this cool sign:
It's like something out of a video game right?
Peyton would flip!! - Callie
Also at the high school was this little castle:
Apparently it was built by German prisoners of war! That's what mom says P.O.W. stands for.
I don't know why it was in Oklahoma but those prisoners sure put a lot of effort into it.
Mom says there were German POWs in Oklahoma during World War II! - Callie
We had to get a picture next to it!
Wrennie tripped about about fell over while our aunt was trying to take the picture! -Chloe
There was one thing we wanted to find more than anything else! We spent forever looking around this little town for it. Our directions led us to this really really creepy part and my mom and aunt locked all the car doors! But then we figured out that there were two streets named the same thing. Isn't that silly?
We finally found the right street and on the way I took a picture of this cool bison statue.
I'm giggling at how many arrows are in this picture!! - Penny
And then we were there!!
Say hi to the worlds largest peanut!
We had to get pictures next to it so Callie and Penny went first:
And then me and Chloe:
It was really neat and HUGE but it wasn't a real peanut. It was just made out of plaster or something. We were super excited to see it anyway!
It was one of my favorite parts of the trip even if it wasn't real! -Chloe
That's because the real and original peanut got stolen a long time ago! So they had to put a fake one. -Callie
It's really fun to look back at everything we did!
I bet we'll think of more to tell you guys about!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving from us to you! In our family this holiday is about being glad for the people in your life and the blessings we've gotten all year round. We have a big, diverse family, who are all really different, and who have been brought together in lots of special ways to be what we are. Here are some of the things that we are thankful for this year!
- Each other: We are best friends and sisters and we're really glad that we get to spend so much time together, growing up together!
- Our brothers, parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents, and the family you don't see: We have a big family and even though their pictures might not be on our blog they do help us out a whole lot, plus we love them!
- Our blog: It's been a lot of fun telling about our adventures and we have so many more posts still planned to share!
- Our friends: The ones we see face to face and the ones we've made online! We love our friends!
- Sparkles: Of course!
- Our trips: we've seen a lot of places and we are glad because we like learning and traveling!
Thank you so much for being our friends! We love you!

Happy Halloween!!
Happy Halloween!! We hope that you had a good one. We dressed up and then ran to the park with Merlin (who went as Sherlock Holmes) to take pictures. (Sparrow was a pirate, Finch was Batman, and Egg was a ghost.)
Callie went as Maryellen!
Wrennie was a witch!
Penny dressed as Caroline Abbott (it was totally the hat)....
And Chloe went as a fairy!
We hope that you had fun and got lots of candy (or coloring books, or bracelets, or whatever your area was handing out)!! What did you guys go as?
Love,
Callie, Wrennie, Penny, and Chloe

Southfork Ranch
Hey everybody, Callie here! School is back in session and while we are all busy with our new school year stuff, we're still on sharing vacation pictures here on the blog! Remember how we went to Dallas recently? Well, while we were there we got to visit Southfork Ranch! It's about half an hour or so away from the store we went to in that post, in a town called Parker.
Holy blurry backseat photo, Batman!
If you haven't heard of Southfork Ranch, don't worry, I am here to tell you! Southfork is the home of the Ewings, the really rich oil tycoon family of the tv show Dallas which is one of my favorite tv shows ever! Well, the older one anyway! Dallas was on tv from 1978 to 1991, which was a long time before I was born. There were two movies from 1996 and 1998 and then a brand new tv show about the kids, who were now grown up, on TNT for two seasons in 2012. That makes it one of the longest running tv shows!
We took almost 100 pictures from Southfork but here are some of our favorites.

Choo Choo! At the park!
Oh gosh, it's my turn! Hey everyone!!
My name is Chloe and this is my very first post!! As you all HAVE to know, me and all my siblings got to spend a whole lot of time with our cousins. It was really really fun. All us girls did tons of cool stuff!
Course you know the rest of the girls:
There is my cousin Callie and my big sister Wren.
And my best friend
AND best cousin: Penny!
We found this super awesome park! It had tons of room so we sat and played for a bit:
We brought all our favorite toys:
You can see my Red Hood and all our dolls and some Calico Critters. My cousins LOVE those!
We have sooo many Batman toys. Guys. We have a problem and that problem is TOO MUCH AWESOME. -Callie
The park had this neat climbing net:
Callie made it the highest but Penny was right behind her!
Course Callie made it the highest! -Wren
And the there were these weird swingy stepping stones:
They were really fun. We kept falling off!
American Ninja Warrior Training Course!! - Penny
Callie and Penny balanced for our picture:
But poor Wrennie had to hold mine for me:
She's an awesome big sister!
Aww, you're pretty awesome too Chloe! -Wren
The best part of the WHOLE park was the train:
Isn't it super cool!?
We got to sit in it and climb everywhere:
Callie said we were a traveling circus going to the big city for our next show!
Penny said we couldn't go anywhere for a show because she didn't have her hat or any of her gear! They're so funny!!
Hey, you can't just find the perfect magician's hat! - Penny
Wren and I just pretended to watch the scenery go by:
There went a cow, and another cow and some hay.......-Wren
But then my Rebecca wanted to go the the very front of the train!
So we did!
Callie and Penny were waving to all their fans :P
We played there for hours. It was probably my favorite park ever!!
It turns out we know the guy who built it, too! - Callie
But then it was time to go:
We had to head out for our next adventure! Which someone else gets to tell you about. But don't you worry, I'll be back soon!
