Penny is an active and studious girl with a flair for the unknown. She loves spending time with her family and friends, and her dog, but otherwise she most likely has her nose in a book or she's practicing one of her hobbies. She's patient, but brave and sees the wisdom in coming up with a good plan before diving headlong into things. That doesn't always mean she does it, though. She still has a mile-wide adventurous streak and if you turn your back for a minute she's off on another journey.
She likes to travel and the feeling that you get when your hard work pays off. She's a gymnast like her sister and she favors the balance beam. In school, her favorite subjects are the sciences (especially chemistry, because of its similarities to alchemy). She's learning the violin in school.
